Crikey! - the boats great. Bet your looking forward to doing the rigging.

Your picture shows that in some ways plastic kits are on the bottom rung skill wise of models available to build!

That hull looks beautiful Paul, may I ask what kit it's made from? I'll look forward to seeing how the hull progresses as you work on it. I have two Billings boat kits that I was given when I retired, and I keep looking at them but I'm wary of starting them, as I believe they take a long time to finish, and like you, I like to dart from one project to another >smile< Give us some more pictures of the boat when you work on it next.

not looking forward to the rigging at all Tim,think it will be a pian in neck.i like the plastic models, but im not stuck on them at the mo,may be when iv done a few i mite start liking them.

Malc, the HMS Fly is from Victory models,Amati, the hull planking is ok but im going slowly, its the back of the ship im worried about with the planking incase i make a mess of it,but then again its only the first lot of planks,i can allway put filler on it and sand ready for the second coat of planks.
you should start on your boats and give it ago,my bouts will take me a good few years i think to finish,no point rushing just to mess it all up.
please post some pics of them, would love to see wot thay are.
ill post some more pics soon
